Relax and enjoy the wonderful DANUBE BEND panorama from the JACUZZI of our holiday home overlooking NAGYMAROS, on the edge of the BÖRZSÖNY MOUNTAINS, in the most beautiful region of HUNGARY
The air – conditioned house is situated in green surroundings on the Kalvária Hill, within the popular, but quiet, small town of Nagymaros and directly overlooks the historic hilltop castle of Visegrád on the opposite bank of the River Danube. The town’s main square is easily accessible on foot (about 5 minutes) by the 188 ‘Calvary’ steps which also lead to the Budapest-Bratislava train line and the local shops and services (including cashpoints and pharmacy), as well as the riverside beach and car ferry to Visegrád. For guests arriving by car, the house has parking to the front and is approachable from the town centre by paved road and gravelled forest track.
The holiday home consists of:
Ground floor – Fully equipped kitchen (double electric hotplate, large fridge-freezer, microwave oven, kettle, coffee pot, etc.), bathroom with toilet and shower, indoor dining area and T.V. corner (120 channels, Wi-Fi).
Upstairs gallery – 2 double beds and 2 single beds (bedding provided). The windows are fitted with mosquito nets for guests’ comfort.
Terrace – The 30m2 panoramic terrace is equipped with a Jacuzzi, garden furniture and rollout sun canopy. A great place to be anytime of the day!
Garden – The house is surrounded by a multi-level, 500m2 garden that has a 3-person swinging seat and a constructed fire pit for grilling and outdoor cooking in the bogrács (Hungarian cauldron). 1 crate of firewood per day is included in price (each additional crate charged at HUF 1,000)
Additional equipment: bogrács (Hungarian cauldron), bogrács stand, skewers and forks for grilling and toasting, 2 bicycles, a badminton set, and a range of games and playing cards.
The house is ALL-SEASON and has gas central heating system
The house is NO SMOKING. Domestic PETS are accepted by prior arrangement.
Arrival and departure:
The house may be occupied after 14.00 hrs in the afternoon and must be vacated by 10.00 hrs in the morning. Other arrival/departure arrangements may be made according to the level of occupancy at the time.
Booking is for a MINIMUM of 2 NIGHTS and a MAXIMUM of 4 PERSONS per night. Payment is accepted in cash or by bank transfer. The price quoted is the gross charge (0% VAT) and includes the charge for final cleaning. It does not include the local tourist tax of HUF 400 per person, per night, payable for guests over 18 years of age.
Booking:
A booking fee of 50% of the calculated final charge must be paid within 7 days following a written booking agreement. If we have not received the booking fee by the end of 7 days, we shall regard the booking to be void and the holiday home to be free for the period in question.
Cancellation:
In the event of cancellation of the booking at least 14 days prior to the date of arrival, the booking fee will be refunded to you.
